Limited access to Holyport road as part of A308 improvement works

Access to Holyport road from the A308 will be closed for eight weeks from Monday 7 October, as part of wider improvement work to the key route between Maidenhead and Windsor in 2025.

Work will take place on the mini roundabout connecting the road to the A308, to relocate a gas main and temporary traffic lights will be in place during the first and last two weeks of construction, to support traffic flow. Partners have worked together to align their necessary work, reducing the time that will be needed to complete the overall project in the new year.

The project, made possible through a combination of Local Enterprise Partnership and Community Infrastructure Levy funding, is part of the council’s ambition to improve safety and increase capacity and connectivity along the A308. Further work to upgrade the roundabout is set to take place from January and will include better access for cyclists and pedestrians, supporting the council’s commitment to delivering a cleaner, greener and safer borough.
