Come and get some fresh air, learn a skill and hlep our community orchard!
A guided session of basic fruit pruning techniques with hands on practice pruning the orchard trees at Ockwells Park.
Meet in the carpark for 10am. The main session will take place in the orchard just a couple of minutes walk away. Dress warmly with sturdy footwear. Bring gardening gloves, sharp secateurs and a hand saw if possible. Some tools will be available to borrow but bring your own if possible.
PLEASE NOTE: Sterilise the secateurs and hand saw beforehand using soap or antibacterial gel.
Toilets available at carpark. Well behaved dogs welcome. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Join the Braywick Rangers and local conservation volunteers to lay part of the wildlife hedge at Battlemead, along the Thames Path.
Session will run all day (10-3ish) on 17th and 18th Jan. Join for the whole weekend or just pop along for a couple of hours.
Dress warmly and bring your own food and water. Tools will be provided. This session is suitable for adults and young people over 14. Those under 18 must be supervised by an adult. We will meet at the entrance to Battlemead off Sutton Road. Parking will be available for the day. If joining later, meet us on the far side of the site along the Thames Path.
