Support for Carers in the borough is provided through Optalis, which is an organisation owned by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and Wokingham Borough Council. Theyalso provide adult social care in partnership with the council andthat includes a range of support and care services for older people, adults with a disability and people with mental health needs in the community and at home.
Optalis provides support to unpaid Carers by offering advice and guidance to help Carers withtheir caring responsibilities and help them look after their well- being.
As a Carer, it is important to register and be assessed. Below is a flowchart that outlines the process. To register as a Carer please visit the 'Optalis Carers Self Referral Form' link on the right hand side of this page
