Monday 8 June – Friday 12 June

Carers Week is a national opportunity to recognise and celebrate unpaid carers. Throughout the week, RBWM and partners are hosting a range of events across the borough, giving carers access to advice, practical support, wellbeing activities, and opportunities to connect with others.

Below is a list of all events scheduled for the week!


Monday 8 June – Wraysbury

Carers Bus
📍 Wraysbury Village Hall
12:00pm – 3:00pm

The Carers Bus will be visiting Wraysbury to provide easy access to information and advice. Carers can drop in to speak with staff, find out about local support, and discuss any questions they may have about caring roles and available services.


Tuesday 9 June – Maidenhead

Morning Session

Drop‑in Session & Carers Assessments
📍 Town Hall
9:30am – 12:30pm

This drop‑in session offers carers the opportunity to have their carers assessment completed or to discuss starting one. Staff will be available for one‑to‑one conversations, providing advice, explaining carers’ rights, and helping carers understand the support they may be entitled to. No appointment is needed.

Afternoon Session

Fitness for Carers
📍 Community Centre
12:00pm – 1:00pm

A gentle and welcoming fitness session designed especially for carers. This session supports physical wellbeing and encourages carers to take some time for themselves in a friendly, supportive environment.


Wednesday 10 June – Ascot

Carers Drop‑in Session & Assessments
📍 Ascot Library
10:00am – 1:00pm

Carers are welcome to drop in for information, advice, and support. During this session, carers can complete a carers assessment or speak with staff about their caring role, available support, and next steps. Carers can attend at any point during the session.


Thursday 11 June – Dedworth

Carers Bus
📍 Tesco Dedworth
12:00pm – 3:00pm

The Carers Bus will be stationed at Tesco Dedworth, offering a convenient way for carers to access information, guidance, and support while out locally. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and signpost services.


Friday 12 June – Braywick

Carers Group Event with RBWM, Rights at Home & Leisure Focus

📍 Braywick Leisure Centre
10:00am – 2:00pm

This carers group event brings together RBWM, Rights at Home, and Leisure Focus, alongside carers and partner services, for a supportive and engaging end to Carers Week.

On the day, carers can take part in:

  • Moving and Handling Training – practical guidance to support safer caring at home
  • Health & Wellbeing Checks using the health machine
  • Information and Advice from a range of services
  • Opportunities to connect with other carers and local organisations

The event offers a relaxed and welcoming space to learn new skills, focus on wellbeing, and feel recognised and supported as a carer.
