As your communities team we want to make sure that it's as easy as possible to get to know us and find out about all the projects we're working on.
Our aim is to support our residents with their vision, to make our borough the best it can be. Our ethos is collaborative and, as a team, we firmly believe that the best way to create strong working relationships between council and residents is to work together with respect for the knowledge all sides can bring to solving problems.
To that end, various members of the team will be popping down to all the libraries in the borough over the autumn. This is an opportunity for residents and community groups to meet us in person and ask us about our projects or tell us your ideas and how we can support you and your local community.
Throughout our tour we will joined by our colleagues from Optalis, our adult health and social care team. They will be on hand, along with us, to answer questions you may have and point you in the right direction for the information you need. We work very closely with our Optalis partners so we are delighted that they can join us this autumn.
Our timetable for September, October and November is now available, any updates will be posted on this page. There is no need to book a slot, just turn up on the day, we look forward to meeting you!
*CREATIVE KLAXON*
In addition to hearing about your ideas for your community we also want you to indulge your creative side - we are running a competition to find a logo design for our team! Once we have concluded our autumn tour, the chosen winning design will receive a £25 gift voucher for The Little Bookshop in Cookham (just in time for Christmas!).
We will have pens, pencils and paper with us on our libraries tour for you to let loose your creativity - just come and let us know you'd like to submit a design.
Competition T&Cs
Submissions from under 16s must have permission from a parent or guardian
Submissions must include a name and email and/or telephone number (we will only contact you in the event of your submission being chosen as the winner). Submissions will be stored securely in line with our GDPR policy.
Competition closes 29th November 5.30pm 2023.
