As electric cars continue to gain popularity, it is widely believed that EVs are the future of transportation. Not only will mainstream electric cars transform the automotive industry as a whole but most importantly, they will also help replace the use of fossil fuels in a bid to decarbonise the earth.

It is predicted that that by 2030, electric vehicle sales could reach 40% of new car sales and by 2040, electric vehicle sales could account for nearly all new car sales. At the end of January 2024, there were 55,301 electric vehicle charging points across the UK, across 31,445 charging locations. This represents a 46% increase in the total number of charging devices since January 2023.
