Catchment partnerships are collaborative groups in the UK that unite diverse stakeholders - farmers, businesses, water companies, charities, local authorities, landowners, communities - improve river health and water environments by managing entire river catchments holistically, focusing on water quality, biodiversity, flood risk, and community engagement for shared benefits. They create local plans, deliver projects like habitat restoration, and share costs and expertise for better, sustainable water management. In RBWM, our local catchment partnership is the Maidenhead to Teddington partnership, hosted by charity Thames21. A small part of the Borough in Cookham is part of the South Chilterns Catchment Partnership.
