Project summary

The Maidenhead Community Project is a community driven initiative empowering residents to use their skills, knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to create and develop local resources to support their community.

The project has five subgroups:

  1. Health & Wellbeing – the achievement and maintenance of both physical fitness and mental stability.
  2. Community Empowerment – the process of enabling communities to increase control of their lives by taking ownership of their local area and resources.
  3. Community Safety – using skills, knowledge, and techniques, to prevent and reduce crime and disorder, and develop safer communities.
  4. Employment & Skills – using local knowledge and resources to create better employment opportunities and enhance resident’s employability skills.
  5. Physical Environment - where individuals live, learn, work, and play. People interact with their physical environment through the air they breathe, water they drink, houses they live in, and the transportation they access to travel to work and school.

This survey will help us gain a better insight into the types of projects that will be most beneficial to residents.
