Name a Borough Bus competition

Could you help us name Royal Borough buses? A new competition has been launched in partnership with Carousel to help name new buses and show the very best of the Royal Borough.

Residents are encouraged to submit names that have a link to the Royal Borough, whether it’s a fan-favourite landmark or a fond personal memory. Four winning submissions will be placed on display on buses.

Submissions will be reviewed and shortlisted by a panel from the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and Carousel Buses. Residents will then get to help decide the four winning submissions through a public vote.

The ‘Name a Borough Bus’ competition is open for submissions until midnight Sunday 30 August 2026.

Terms and conditions:

• This competition is open to all residents aged over 16 in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
• Entries to be submitted directly through rbwmtogether.rbwm.gov.uk/name-a-borough-bus.
• Any entries that are offensive in nature will be disqualified.
• The competition will close for entry at midnight on Sunday 30 August.
• A shortlist will be compiled by a panel from Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and Carousel.
• The final decision will be decided by public vote and will be final.
• By submitting an entry to the competition, permission is given for the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and Carousel to use the entry on buses, along with permission to promote the event.
• All personal data collected will be held by the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, held until November 2026 and will not be used for any other purposes other than administrating this competition.
• The entries have no financial value whatsoever.
• Entries will not be returned.
• This competition will be governed by laws of England and Wales.
