Older Persons' Working Group

The OPWG is a space for a network of organisations who represent the views of residents aged 55+ to meet, share information and help to shape the way the Borough develops in the future.

The OPWG was established following a report by the Older Persons' Advisory Forum and approved by the RBWM Health and Wellbeing Board in 2022; the terms of reference being to:

• Promote awareness of issues facing older people in RBWM

• Provide a channel for older people to influence the development of local services, particularly those provided or commissioned by RBWM

• Identify gaps or improvements in the services facing older people and as a partnership work to resolve them.

• Improve older people’s access to information on local services

• Support older people taking an active role as citizens, either as individuals, through partner organisations, and membership of OPAF.
