Thank you for visiting the RBWM project page for Active Travel. This engagement has now ended and the surveys are closed. We thank you for all your feedback and there will be an update at a later date with the outcome of this feedback.

Keeping children safe, happy any healthy is one of our main borough wide priorities, which is why, as part of the emerging Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) we will be exploring ideas for school streets.

School Streets are temporary closures, which operate around school pick up and drop off times throughout the school term. When the school street is in operation, the area is only accessible via methods of active travel, which provides many health and environmental benefits, alongside improving the safety of pupils, parents and teachers.

Do you feel safe walking your child to school? Can you think of any schools that would benefit from school streets closures? Do you have any thoughts on how we can encourage active travel amongst school children?

We want to hear from you!

Want to know what your local Councillors thought? Below are some of their top suggestions:

Please go through the survey to see these ideas in more detail specific to your area. If there are no suggestions for your area, we welcome any and all feedback on improvements that can be put forward for funding via the interactive map. Please also go to the google maps button on the right-hand side of the main page to explore the location of different ideas around the borough that have been put forward by local Councillors.
