Area of Focus - the visioning workshop for Windsor will focus predominantly on the area of the town centre that includes: the railway and bus arrival points, shopping streets, the castle surroundings and sites near the riverside. This focus area is indicated in red.
Buffer Zone - a walkable catchment surrounding the town centre forms a buffer zone of impact and influence. Areas within this catchment are important to consider in terms of context, and could even become focus points for discussion if relevant. The catchment represents approximately a 10–15-minute walk from the town centre – however, this is intended to be a very loose boundary to indicate the context surrounding the area of focus. This buffer area is indicated in orange.
Wider Context - areas outside the buffer zone are likely to sit outside the focus for this project, however the visioning workshop will nevertheless consider the wider context strategically and contextually.
Who can get involved - residents, visitors, working population, and anyone that simply has an interest in Windsor town centre are all relevant stakeholders, and would not be excluded from participating in the workshops, regardless of whether they reside within the focus and buffer areas.
