VOLUNTEER DRIVERS WANTED - Windsor Voluntary Car Service - Providing transport for mobility-challenged Windsor Residents

WVCS has been operational for 25 years and comprises a group of Volunteer Drivers who use their own vehicle to take Windsor residents with reduced mobility on essential journeys to medical appointments, shopping and all other appointments that are essential to their everyday needs.

Our Clients are all based in the SL4 catchment, and are prevented from using taxis and public transport due to their reduced mobility. Clients are mainly in the senior age groups and their mobility problems are mostly of an age-related nature. Our criteria for registering new clients is solely level of mobility and not age or financial means.

We ideally need retirees who have a car and can spare a few hours a week driving our Clients to their appointments.

We pay a petrol allowance but stress that this is not a job opportunity for people needing employment.

Our Clients are all wonderful people who deeply appreciate the support we give them.
