We are looking for VOLUNTEER Minibus and Car Drivers

People to Places is the local transport charity in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead providing specialist accessible transport for people with disabilities and mobility problems.
We are looking for individuals with good standards of driving and passenger welfare for our community transport dial-a-ride service and also on Home to Hospital patient transport service on behalf of South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS). Driver must hold a category D1 or B1 licence. The applicant should not have more than 4 points on their licence.
Driving is only part of the criteria. All applicants must show care and consideration to all passengers at all times. Assisting them where necessary at home or at the hospital to get safely to their appointment. Hand held PDA used for job allocation so good levels of literacy and IT competency required. Calmness under pressure and can do approach essential.
This post is also subject to suitable satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check. The national standard in minibus driving certificate called MiDAS must be held, training can be provided if necessary.
**** Starting with us as a volunteer puts you in a great position should any paid driving roles become available. Full training is given along with gaining vital on the road experience.****
Experience: driving: 2 years (Preferred)
Licence: D1 (101) (Required) For 16 seat minibus
Licence B1 For vehicles with less than 9 seats
