Belmont World Cafe - 20th December 2022

Our 11th RBWM World Cafe took place on the 20th December 2022 at Jakes House in Belmont and was a huge success with a fantastic turn out!

There were a range of stands providing guidance and support around the cost of living including the Library, Citizens Advice Bureau, Health Watch, Optalis, Social Prescribing coupled with face to face conversations and advice from the local Police Community Support Officers. Fun activities included bhangra dancing (provided by Apna Virsa) which went down a storm :-) and residents were able to chat to our Facilitators Rosie, Steve and Paul. In addition, there was soup making led by Housing Solutions supporting residents in how to make delicious, hot and nutritious meals (successful RBWM Innovation Fund applicant) alongside nibbles and gifts and all the free soup!

Finally, warm kits were provided by the Green Doctor (energy efficiency experts who are a regular partner at our World Cafe's) and given to residents alongside the offer of a free consultation to help support them to save money, stay warm and well. Residents loved them!
