JCJulia ChesterWorld Cafe Facilitator
Since Julia retired from her role as a Director for Cancer Research UK she has become very active in local planning matters with groups such as the Society for the Protection of Ascot & Environs (SPAE). From 2019 she was the deputy Chair of the Maidenhead-based charity SportsAble, which was forced to close mainly because of the impact of the Covid pandemic. For Julia it is all about the importance of community so she is delighted to be able to participate in the World Café programme as this is an innovative and practical way to not just understand the big issues affecting people but to identify ways to help communities develop ideas about how they can help themselves.
