Steve Sansom works for Healthwatch East Berkshire as the officer for RBWM and volunteer lead across all 3 of their patches. Steve is working very hard on all the World Cafe events to promote the Healthwatch Branding and invite anyone with a health or social care issue to contact the Healthwatch Hub to have these logged and investigated. His organisation has recently looked at concerns such as GP Access issues and NHS waiting times, and will be surveying access to NHS dentistry very soon. Steve hopes to see you at the World Cafe Events very soon.

    Julia Chester
    World Cafe Facilitator

Since Julia retired from her role as a Director for Cancer Research UK she has become very active in local planning matters with groups such as the Society for the Protection of Ascot & Environs (SPAE).  From 2019 she was the deputy Chair of the Maidenhead-based charity SportsAble, which was forced to close mainly because of the impact of the Covid pandemic. For Julia it is all about the importance of community so she is delighted to be able to participate in the World Café programme as this is an innovative and practical way to not just understand the big issues affecting people but to identify ways to help communities develop ideas about how they can help themselves.

Rosie (no relation to Steve, although we're both very chatty!) works for RBWM's community transport charity People to Places. Rosie's work takes her all over the Borough, supporting our shared community and promoting the services People to Places can offer any RBWM resident whose differing mobility impacts their ability to access private or public transport. She is thrilled to be part of the World Cafe programme and looks forward to working with residents and stakeholders as we support each other and face the challenges of the day.
