The Berkshire Local Nature

Recovery Strategy

Public Consultation has

been delayed. It will

open Monday 17th

February and close

Monday

24th March. We look

forward to hearing your

thoughts on Berkshire's

Nature Recovery then!

We are excited to launch the Berkshire Local Nature Recovery Strategy Public Consultation. This is an important chance for you to help us improve the strategy, to make it work for wildlife and people. We will use the information you provide to inform the development of the Berkshire Nature Recovery Strategy to publication.

There are two active parts to the Public Consultation.

1. Completing the Survey

2. Suggesting pins to the Map Suggestions tool regarding the Local Habitat Map.

We encourage you to complete both.

We are also running three drop in sessions, aimed at those who would like assistance using the Local Habitat Map and Map Suggestions Tool, and those who would like to speak to someone in person regarding our Berkshire Local Nature Recovery Strategy preparation. Please note, these sessions do not have a formal agenda, and are instead a chance to drop in at any point. More information in the table below.

If you would prefer to complete the survey in a PDF, please download it here and then send it to bnc@rbwm.gov.uk.

about 2 months

Welcome to the Berkshire Local Nature Recovery Strategy Local Habitat Suggestions Map . Here you can comment on the map as displayed or make further suggestions about nature recovery opportunities in your area.  There are four different coloured pins according to the type of comment being given. See below for clarification of the different types of pin. Please leave as much detail as possible to help your suggestion be understood.

If you would like to go back to the main Berkshire Local Habitat Map, click here.

Pin Type 1 (Green) - I agree with/like something here

Pin Type 2 (Red) - I don’t agree with/don’t like something here

Please tell us why you don’t agree with this, and which measure code (e.g. PM01) you would suggest in this location instead.

Pin Type 3 (Blue) - I would like to take an action to support biodiversity that isn’t currently mapped

Please tell which measure code (e.g. PM01) you suggest in this area, and why. If relevant and possible, tell us information about the boundary of the area you are suggesting, e.g. between Road X and river X. If you’re part of a community group, tell us who you represent, if you’re happy for this to be publicly available.

Pin Type 4 (Yellow) - Observation, comment, or idea

Use this to suggest something else.
