Dominique Unsworth –Youth Engagement Services (YES)

Youth Engagement Services (YES) is a consortium of providers who deliver a range of engagement services and activities for disadvantaged young people and children aged between 11-19. YES was appointed as a delivery partner for the Clewer & Dedworth project.

During the early stages of the project YES engaged with local young people and children to find out what mattered most to them in the community. They also discovered local organisations and community groups actively engaging with young people in the area. They ranged from Guide and Scout groups to dance agencies. We contacted each one regarding the project and asked them to get involved.

These organisations were already doing great work with young people in the community and YES have supported a few of these organisations further to apply for funding and develop their services.

By connecting these organisations together, they have successfully created a central programme of activities and workshops for young people which can be easily accessed by the community. The activities and workshops are engaging, fun and educational whilst helping to increase confidence and learning key skills.
