Zoe Macavoy – founder of Green Earth Plan (CIC)

The project has created an excellent platform for Green Earth Plan to work with residents and organisations in the Clewer and Dedworth community. It’s been exciting to see our plans for the community orchard come to life over the past months. The orchard is now home to 19 fruit trees of 17 different varieties including, apples, pears, plums, cherries, quinces and damsons which will fruit from early summer to late autumn. The orchard is a place of beauty and will enhance health and wellbeing as well as providing an opportunity for social gatherings and learning for many years to come.

The project has supported Green Earth Plan by facilitating DBS checks for us which will enable us to work with youth groups in the future, we have also been able to access grant funding for the project.

I think the project is a fantastic initiative and I am excited about what opportunities it will continue to bring to make a positive difference to the daily lives of residents and our local environment.
