Savvy Slow cooking update

Yesterday saw the last session of 6 weeks for the pilot slow cooker course in Dedworth & Clewer, Windsor.

Everyone attending received a free Slow cooker, recipes and a meal pack each week. There were extra carrots from the Sawyers Close community garden too.

We had 20 regular attendees and amazing feedback, here are some of the comments residents made:

“Great course, I have looked forward to attending each week.”

“I really enjoyed taking part and it's nice to meet new people. I would highly recommend to other people to do the course.”

“I did not realise you could cook so many things in the slow cooker from sweet to savoury, that was a surprise for me.”

“I have learnt how to use new spices to me. How to use slow cooker. How to mix different vegetables in one dish.”

“Course was well run, I enjoyed being part of a group. I am looking forward to the whatsapp group continuing”.

“My favourite thing to make was Banana bread I made it first time and it turned out perfect.”

The Chicken Risotto and Banana bread were by far the favourites recipes and the group have set up a WhatsApp group to continue the learning and sharing of

recipes too!
