Sunningdale Bowling Club disabled bowler access plans - update 23 August 2022

A slow start to our project. In the process of appointing an architectural practice to assess options and prepare design for new access ramp together with modifications of doorways etc. This will allow us to invite tenders for the work.

As this project is the start of making the club fully accessible the designers will also be considering everything else we need to change so that we can develop a comprehensive budget for the whole scheme. This will allow us to seek the additional funds which will be needed.

Ready to start in September!

Yes, we are getting ready to start the programme, we have had a big community response and have now filled the first class 80% confirmed. Just used the grant this week to purchase some of the equipment we need to run this class: chairs, and yoga balls to get the feet and ankles mobile (important when you work on balance from the ground up).

Tai Chi for Better Health

Interest and numbers slowly growing for the class running at All Saints Church Parish Centre.Despite the low attendance I am confident that through word of mouth from the current participants numbers will increase.Here is some feedback from some of the class members;“Looked after the grandchildren this week and my daughter said ‘what are you on mum?, you’re like the Duracell bunny!
