Working strongly together, we want to maintain and improve community safety across our borough. The council is making a significant investment to bring four additional warranted police officers to the Royal Borough, over and above the existing force establishment in our area, initially for a period of three years.
This pioneering initiative, the first of its type in Thames Valley force area, will enhance local joint working between the council's Community Safety Team, Thames Valley Police and a range of other partners, further strengthening the local police presence on the ground and our collective response to crime and anti-social behaviour at a community level.
To help identify which local policing and community safety issues and areas should be the initial priorities for the extra police officers and our enhanced partnership working, we are holding a Community Safety, Crime and ASB Summit as well as a Community Safety Survey.

The Royal Borough and Thames Valley Police are inviting communities to help shape the priorities for four extra police officers who will be dedicated to tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in the Royal Borough. These officers will be over and above the existing police establishment for the area, to support community safety and enhanced local partnership working between the council and police.
The first initiative of its kind within the Thames Valley force area, these extra officers will initially be in place for a period of three years, and we would like you to complete a survey to help guide which local policing and community safety issues should be the initial priorities for them.
