I am delighted to be co-sponsoring this toolkit. Working with communities and engaging better with them is a key strategic priority for the Royal Borough. Our Transformation Strategy puts communities at the centre of our vision going forward.

The way in which communities rallied to support each other during the pandemic, forming groups, working together and looking out for people in their streets and villages was amazing. The role of the council is to help, we are not here to direct how communities support each other; our job is to listen, facilitate and support. The council is very much a guest in your community, and we need to act accordingly.
