Public Consultation Winter 2024

Following early engagement events in Spring 2024 the community to is invited to take part in a public consultation on the draft Ascot Placemaking Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).

The draft SPD includes: 

  • A high-level framework for the delivery of the allocated sites in the Placemaking Area

  • Design Guidance to support the delivery of key development areas in a coordinated and holistic way

  • Guidance and potential options for the long-term rejuvenation of the High Street through public realm improvements

  • Coordination of infrastructure provision, including improving connectivity across the area

The consultation will run for eight weeks from Friday 22nd November 2024 until 23:59 on Sunday 19th January 2025.

Alternatively, hard copies of the draft SPD and supporting documents are available to view at:

  • Maidenhead Library

  • Windsor Library

  • Ascot Durning Library, and

  • Sunninghill Library

where you can also pick up a hard copy of a response form.

To get involved and find out more, please attend one of the following consultation events:

  • Ascot Durning Library – Thursday 5th December, 2pm to 6.30pm

  • Ascot Football Club – Monday 9th December 5pm to 8pm

  • Ascot Durning Library – Wednesday 11th December from 10.30am to 1.30pm.

All comments received will be carefully considered as part of the process for preparing the final SPD document.

Next Steps 

Following the consultation, all comments received will be reviewed and a final version of the Ascot Placemaking SPD will be prepared.
