Volunteer Fundraiser - People to Places
People to Places is a non-profit organisation dedicated to ensuring our service users within the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and its surrounding areas have access to a reliable and inclusive community transport service. We are committed to addressing the transportation needs of individuals who face challenges due to age, disability (mental or physical), or limited access to public services. We are actively seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our team.
Role description:
As a Volunteer Fundraiser at People to Places, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by helping us raise funds to continue providing transportation services to those in need. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to develop and execute effective fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Identify and reach out to potential donors, sponsors and partners to secure financial support and build long-term relationships.
- Assist in planning and organising fundraising events, including donor appreciation events, charity galas and community outreach programmes.
- Work with our Marketing and Communications team to utilise various online platforms and social media channels to promote fundraising campaigns and engage with potential donors.
- Conduct research to identify relevant grant opportunities and assist in writing grant proposals to secure funding.
- Collaborate with the volunteer team to recruit and engage volunteers for fundraising activities and events.
- Monitor and analyse fundraising metrics and outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Passion for supporting people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience in fundraising, event planning or related fields is a plus.
