'I really enjoyed my time at Braywick Nature Centre. Everyone on the team was really nice and helpful and always happy to answers any questions I had about their roles within the team or the reserve itself. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering a career in ecology or nature.'

Iona spent 3 days with the Energy and Decarbonisation team in June. She met all team members and undertook a variety of activities. Here is a short testimonial from her:

'I was provided with activities and a project that was interesting and very informative. I was also able to spend time with a variety of people who all had different roles within the team. Hayden was with us for 2 days a week in July 2024, and was a valued team member for that period of time - helping at Braywick Nature Festival, practical conservation tasks and with our school visits. Here is a short testimonial from him:

"I loved my time at Braywick Nature Centre. It was fascinating, eye-opening and inspiring to see how the Natural Environment Team’s work makes a real difference around the borough and across Berkshire more widely. I got involved in a wide variety of tasks which demonstrated the sheer scope of the team’s work; from hands-on land management exercises, to research and policy work, to nature education and even social media outreach. I would strongly recommend a placement at Braywick to anyone interested in nature conservation, sustainability or ecology."
