Halloween Clear Up

I regularly take a picker out on my morning walks to do something useful while getting in some exercise. Generally I collect a carrier bag full very quickly - especially after Halloween, with all the discarded sweet wrappers. On longer walks it's a full dustbin bag. Hopefully if you're round the area of St.Leonard's Hill, Hemwood Road and Illingworth you might have noticed the difference.

I'm only limited by what I can fit in my own bin each collection. Does the council have a scheme of providing bags for litter picking that will be collected alongside the black bins?

100% behind this. The terraces should be banged out on a Saturday afternoon which would help the football club grow. Working with young people in this town for a number of years, it’s a real shame that so many of them don’t know the town has a football club.
