Collected over 5 full dustbin bags of rubbish from around St. Leonard's Hill on my regular morning walks. The local pathways in particular were filled with discarded cans, dog-poo bags, cigarette butts, and all sorts of other rubbish. Poo bags from dog walkers is the biggest regular littering,

Halloween Clear Up

I regularly take a picker out on my morning walks to do something useful while getting in some exercise. Generally I collect a carrier bag full very quickly - especially after Halloween, with all the discarded sweet wrappers. On longer walks it's a full dustbin bag. Hopefully if you're round the area of St.Leonard's Hill, Hemwood Road and Illingworth you might have noticed the difference. I'm only limited by what I can fit in my own bin each collection. Does the council have a scheme of providing bags for litter picking that will be collected alongside the black bins?
