Roger Cannon – Community Learning & Skills Service (CLaSS)

I work for Community Learning and Skills (CLaSS) within The Royal Borough. We are an adult learning provider (19+ years old) and we offer a range of classes and courses that help to get people into work and upskill individuals so they can take part in everyday life. We also offer development courses for organisations from the private, voluntary and independent sector . All courses run by CLaSS are tailored to meet local needs and demand.

I am delighted to be involved in this very exciting initiative. As part of our activity associated with the project we have worked with a large number of organisations in the Clewer and Dedworth area to support them with volunteering recruitment and training and to co-design/deliver adult learning courses for those within the community. I am also helping organisations to capacity build to support them to deliver even more services in the community.

By working with residents and local organisations, we can best understand the local learning aspirations and needs; we can then create courses to match these whilst also achieving Council agendas and priorities
