Summer role play village in Datchet

This summer, we had two amazing STEM Role Play Sessions at Datchet Baptist Church, welcoming local families with children aged 0–8. Children enjoyed exploring different role-play areas, including our Construction Site, Emergency Services, STEM games and Outdoor Games, as well as getting creative in our Art Studio, where children and parents designed and made fun summer crafts together.

It was wonderful to meet so many local families and receive such lovely feedback about the sessions. We are incredibly grateful to the RBWM Innovation Fund for making this opportunity possible and allowing us to bring these free, educational and fun experiences to local families. We are now looking forward to bringing more Pop Up Play Village sessions to Windsor from September — with plenty more learning, creativity and fun to come!

Maidenhead Tai Chi Community Group - Developing a Tai Chi Push Hands Program for Community Health

Maidenhead Tai Chi Community Group continues to hold our weekly Tai Chi class at Maidenhead Library.We have also introduced a practical warm-up session that combines basic Tai Chi techniques with the principles of warm-up exercises. This helps participants prepare their bodies for Tai Chi practice, improve flexibility and mobility, and reduce the risk of injury. We are also inviting an Occupational Therapist volunteer to help us prepare and conduct a review of the effects of Tai Chi practice on participants’ health, mobility, balance, and overall well-being.
