Day Centre Helpers, Coffee Club Volunteer, Kitchen Assistant - Age Concern Windsor

Age Concern Windsor provides vital support services to older residents of Windsor including a Day Service, Befriending, Meals on Wheels, Coffee Club and Sunday Lunch. A part from the Befriending that is done either on the telephone or in person we run our services from the Spencer Denney Centre, Park Corner, Windsor, SL4 4EB. We are looking for volunteers to help with Meals on Wheels, Day Service, Coffee Club. We also have several supporting roles, including admin, kitchen assistants.

Day Centre Helpers

We are looking for volunteers to help out on our Day Service. The Service is open from 9:30-14:30 Wednesday to Friday and we are looking to open on Tuesdays as well. We are looking for chatty enthusiastic volunteers to help serve refreshments, three course meal, and help clients engage with activities. We put on a variety of activities such as playing cards, dominoes, bingo, throwing games and craft etc. We are looking to cover 9:30-14L30 however you can volunteer for a couple of hours, say a morning or afternoon to suit your other commitments.

Coffee Club Volunteer

We are looking for enthusiastic, chatty volunteers to help run our Coffee club. This social group meets every Tuesday at The spencer Denney Centre, 14:00-16:00. You will be serving refreshments to those attending and facilitating conversation between those attending.

Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for volunteers who like helping in the kitchen and who are not afraid of washing up. Our meals on Wheels Service runs Tuesday to Friday and produce around 20 meals a day for local residents as well as meals for our Day Service. These meals are fresh cooked on the day in our kitchen and we are looking for people to help with the production, serving of the meals, and cleaning up the kitchen.

Meals on Wheels Delivery Drivers

We are looking for competent, organised volunteers who can deliver a set of meals to up to 8 addresses in Windsor, Old Windsor, Datchet or Ascot. You must have your own vehicle and be available on a day a week Tuesday-Friday approx. 11:45-13:15. The day you volunteer is flexible.

Admin Support

To ensure that our services run well we are looking for volunteer to help with Admin tasks. We are looking of people with good attention to detail, a head for paperwork, organised. Tasks vary from week to week but could include, printing labels, producing invoices, sending letters to obtain references for volunteers, printing of activity sheets, data entry. Times and hours are flexible.
