Bike Volunteers - Maidenhead Cycle Hub

Maidenhead Cycle Hub could not exist without our team of volunteers to support the work of the charity. We have about 25+ volunteers and most of them help us on a regular day or half day a week basis. Our volunteering opportunities include:

  • Waldeck House Workshop. (Mon - Fri) Supporting our professional mechanics to prepare and refurbish donated bikes and make them ready to be loved again by new owners.
  • Nicholson Centre Shop Volunteers. ( Daily including weekends) Helping our customers choose from our ranges of second hand bikes.
  • Marketing and Communications. We often need volunteers to help us for a few hours each month with ad hoc marketing campaigns,
  • Dr. Bike and other Community Events. We attend community events throughout the year with our pop up Maidenhead Cycle Hub stand to provide ‘Dr Bike’ ‘MOT’ style safety checks
  • Organised ‘led’ Ride Volunteers. At weekends in the spring, summer and autumn our ‘Led Rides’ volunteers go in pairs to take small groups out for an organised ride around the local area.

The workshop and the shop are our current priorities where we need more volunteers, but we are happy to hear from anyone who would like to get involved with small projects or planning for future events etc.

If you would like to volunteer, please email comms@cyclehub.org.uk
