Carers - Health & Wellbeing
It's easy to overlook your own health and wellbeing when you're busy looking after someone else. If you are in a caring role, it is vital you look after yourself – as no one can pour from an empty cup! If you’re feeling exhausted from caring, taking a break – in whatever form – can be a great way to boost your health and recharge your batteries. To find out more about health and wellbeing, including top tips and resources, please visit our Health and Wellbeing Hub.
Loneliness and Social Isolation
If you're experiencing loneliness or social isolation, you're not alone. Many carers report feeling lonely and/or isolated due to their caring responsibilities which often negatively impact their social lives, ability to leave the house, and connect with people beyond the person they care for.
If you would like information and advice about what to do when feeling lonely or isolate, please visit our Community Connections page which brings together a range of local and national support.
