The team at Braywick Nature Centre runs a small work experience program twice a year. We offer a limited number of requests for these set dates from students age 17 or above who would like to gain a short amount of industry experience in Local Government, Nature Conservation, Flooding, Energy/Net Zero.
In 2026-2027 we are offering:
One summer week of full sustainability and climate work experience from 28th July - 1st August 2026
One practical conservation work experience week with the RBWM Natural Environment Team 25th-28th January 2027
If you are interested, please email sustainability@rbwm.gov.uk with a short cover letter (no more than 1 page) outlining:
who you are
why you are interested in work experience with us
which of the 2 weeks we offer you are interested in (Summer Environment and Climate Experience or Winter Practical Conservation Experience)
what you hope to gain from it
