- Reduce mental or physical health inequalities
Key information:
- Project ideas must be sustainable. We will not consider one-off events or projects.
- All project ideas will be reviewed by a panel consisting of representatives from the council, NHS Frimley and the voluntary & community sector.
- To find out about projects that have been funded in the past, please look at the “Project Updates” tab below.

Oaken Grove Park - New Community Orchard!!
by Dave Duncan, over 2 years agoOur first event in Oaken Grove park will be to plant 10 Apple Trees we have been given by Thatchers (the cider makers). The plan is to plant this new small Orchard on Saturday 25th May between 10:30 and 12:30. We have agreed with RBWM a suitable location for the Orchard in the park and have also got access to the nearest water supply which is important as we'll need to set up a rota to water the trees at least once a week during the summer as the first two years are crucial in getting the trees properly... Adopt A Street
by Gill Hudson, over 2 years agoHolyport Litterati, our local litterpicking group, have now launched their Adopt A Street campaign. In return for free litterpicking kit – a litterpicking stick, gloves, bags and a hoop – local residents pledge to keep part or all of a street as litterfree as possible. We've already 'adopted' large areas of Holyport, including Aysgarth Park and Springfield, and are hoping to extend the scheme to neighbouring villages over the next few months. @HLitterati for updates, and/or contact gill.hudson@holyportcommunitytrust.org if you want to join in!Holyport Litterati, our local litterpicking group, have now launched their Adopt A Street campaign. The Trust's buses and archive connect people, places and the past, with memories and activities to enjoy. For 2024 we have some new displays of old photos taken in and around the Borough. Last weekend 40 visitors reminisced in Bray ward so here's an example to interest online visitors. Alternatively why not come and see us at the Health & Wellbeing Fayre on 13th March (1.30pn-4.30pm) in Maidenhead Library and find out more...... We hope to see you there.

by sglover1, over 2 years agoCameo (Come And Meet Each Other) had its first get together of 2024 at the Village Hall on 18th January. It was attended by around 12 elderly residents from the village who were entertained with tea, cakes and a pop quiz! The Quiz featured music from the '50s to the '80s and got a few us tapping our feet! We have a schedule of events for the year. Next meeting will be February 15th.

Odd One out have had a great 2023! We have managed to engage young people through talks about careers, identity and resilience. Our focus throughout the year has been especially on Mental Health as we feel that this is still a stigma within various communities.
Odd One Out participated and co-organised a tournament with professional footballers to engage corporates and communities in coming together through Football. We even made an appearance on Sky Sports and have the support of current professional footballer Steven Caulker. The Odd One out team even made it to the quarter-finals!

Our engaging talks about social isolation and loneliness with young people with a touch of comedy throughout the year have been received well. We have a strong plan going forward into 2024 with regular sports tournaments and community outreach. Our aim now is to consistently help the community around us to keep engaged through more activities and workshops.
We are looking to build on our existing network and create more connections for the year to come!

We chose the Windsor Pantomime to be our last ‘social’ of the year. The boys were treated to seats right near the front, so were involved in all the fun right from the start (including getting very wet after the water spraying during ‘the 12 days of Christmas) 💦
We had ice-cream in the interval and even got a wave from Basil Brush himself 🦊❤️👍We chose the Windsor Pantomime to be our last ‘social’ of the year. We recently finished the outdoor season having beaten the weather and played all 20 weeks so far. The numbers continue to grow and we were averaging over 20 men and women each week in September. We have now moved indoors to Windsor Leisure Centre for the winter. Its still Thursdays at 11am, but we have already had to add an extra hour as numbers are so high!
All new players always welcome. Please email tristan@329marketing.com or call 07774 243850
