The plan is to plant this new small Orchard on Saturday 25th May between 10:30 and 12:30. We have agreed with RBWM a suitable location for the Orchard in the park and have also got access to the nearest water supply which is important as we'll need to set up a rota to water the trees at least once a week during the summer as the first two years are crucial in getting the trees properly... Holyport Litterati, our local litterpicking group, have now launched their Adopt A Street campaign. In return for free litterpicking kit – a litterpicking stick, gloves, bags and a hoop – local residents pledge to keep part or all of a street as litterfree as possible. We've already 'adopted' large areas of Holyport, including Aysgarth Park and Springfield, and are hoping to extend the scheme to neighbouring villages over the next few months. @HLitterati for updates, and/or contact gill.hudson@holyportcommunitytrust.org if you want to join in!
