by Tina, over 3 years agoInterest and numbers slowly growing for the class running at All Saints Church Parish Centre.
Despite the low attendance I am confident that through word of mouth from the current participants numbers will increase.
Here is some feedback from some of the class members;“Looked after the grandchildren this week and my daughter said ‘what are you on mum?, you’re like the Duracell bunny! Great improvement in energy” - Anne
“Try it, it’s amazing” - JS

Sunningdale Bowling Club disabled bowler access plans - update 23 August 2022
by Sunningdale Bowling Club, over 3 years agoA slow start to our project. In the process of appointing an architectural practice to assess options and prepare design for new access ramp together with modifications of doorways etc. This will allow us to invite tenders for the work.
As this project is the start of making the club fully accessible the designers will also be considering everything else we need to change so that we can develop a comprehensive budget for the whole scheme. This will allow us to seek the additional funds which will be needed.A slow start to our project. Ready to start in September!
by UnwindYS, over 3 years agoYes, we are getting ready to start the programme, we have had a big community response and have now filled the first class 80% confirmed. Just used the grant this week to purchase some of the equipment we need to run this class: chairs, and yoga balls to get the feet and ankles mobile (important when you work on balance from the ground up).Yes, we are getting ready to start the programme, we have had a big community response and have now filled the first class 80% confirmed. by JonDavey, over 3 years agoWebsite is coming along nicely with 33 pages published... we've just commissioned a designer to come up with the logo and also create a 4 x A4 newsletter which will introduces BLT to an unsuspecting world, invites BLT Menu Options and encourages BLT Expert Partners to step up and says a BIG THANK YOU to Frimley Health and Care. We will be hosting our first BLT Weekly Meeting from Monday 5th September, 6:30pm for 7pm start at Woody's Cafe, Pirate Park, Windsor. Apart from that, not a lot happening here ;) Thank you. Blokes Losing Timber

Blokes Losing Timber (BLT) is all about helping blokes with their health & wellbeing so they can live happier, potentially more rewarding lives.
There can be a tendency to try and make big changes quickly and this mostly ends in failure and disappointment for the bloke, resulting in falling back to the old behaviours and disappointment in oneself.
BLT uses the Pareto Principle as the foundations which states that 80% of consequences come from 20% of the causes, asserting an unequal relationship between inputs and outputs. So if our goal is to make a 20% change in our health &... Continue reading
So if our goal is to make a 20% change in our health & wellbeing then we should see massive changes over time. Making a relatively small 20% change will also be more sustainable over the longer term resulting in fewer drop outs and ultimately happier blokes.
With two key areas, health & wellbeing, we have subdivided into Mental Health & Wellbeing which includes Confidence, Happiness and Looking Good. Physical Health which includes Exercise, Food & Drink and Water. We’ll have Events based on face to face and online meetings. The aim will be to talk, laugh and sing (you don’t have to!) which may well involve eating & drinking.
Talking, laughing and singing have all been proven good for your mental health and it’s our job essentially to get you laughing 20% more while eating & drinking 20% less ;)
Are you up for the challenge?
Join and become a BLT Member >>>
Thank you.
We're looking for a graphic designer to help us lay stronger foundations if you know of anyone?

UNWIND 70+ YOGA
by UnwindYS, almost 4 years ago
So happy to be updating here about the Health & Wellness project I am running with the help of the RBWM & NHS team, Nicky and Sumayyah.
I am Sandra and I have been awarded a grant to set up a yoga class for the over 70s and people with mobility issues.
There is much research about yoga being effective as a preventative measure for current and future mobility issues and fall prevention is one of them, plus gentle strengthening, balance work. Making classes available for free or at very low cost to participants will open up the opportunity to... Continue reading
